Websites made with Google Business Profiles will be turned off soon

Google has announced that it will be discontinuing its Business Profiles website feature in the coming months. From March 1, 2024, visitors to these sites will be redirected to the corresponding Google Business Profile.

This feature, which allowed businesses to create a simple website using their Business Profile information, will no longer be supported. As a result, the websites created using this tool will be removed. For instance, if you are a customer of “ABC Corp.” starting from March, you will be redirected from abc-corp.business.site to its Google Business Profile.

The Business Profile will continue to present comprehensive information about the business. It also provides the option to include social media links for customers seeking more information. The redirection will continue until June 10, 2024, after which the website will become unavailable.

For those looking to update their Business Profile with a different website, there are several site builders available. Options include Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy, Google Sites, Shopify, and WordPress. These platforms can help businesses create a new website to replace the one being discontinued.
